Service Writer - (Effingham, IL)

The Service Writer position is responsible for greeting our customer with enthusiasm and a welcoming attitude. The Service Writer works with our customers from the time they enter the store until their service is complete. The Service Writer will greet our customers, obtain the necessary details to enter into our computer systems, assist the Crew Chief in making sure the proper filters are retrieved from inventory, and cashes out our customers. Responsibilities: Greet customers and obtain required info for trucks being serviced. Possess excellent customer skills. Expertise to communicate clearly. Professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Computer knowledge. Expertise to complete customer's invoice at the completion of service and collect all methods of payment. Ensure that the customer signs for the witnessing of the final torque. Expertise to count and balance cash and methods of payment during assigned shift. Basic daily accounting functions.
