Sonographer The position is located in the CIS-Houma office and reports directly to the Echo/Medical Laboratory Director for all matters, including position assignments, performance evaluations, approval of leave, and other assignments as deemed necessary by the Echo/Medical Laboratory Director, Practice Administrator, Chief Compliance Officer or Chief Operating Officer for the benefit of CIS.GENERAL NATURE OF DUTIESIndependently performs a variety of routine and advanced ultrasound duties associated with an invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular practice.SPECIFIC DUTIESOperates ultrasonographic equipment to obtain diagnostic photos and blood flow data following established protocol.Manually controls the equipment to obtain proper diagnostic info from the area of the body being studied.Deciphers normal from abnormal in order to obtain appropriate tests and to show any abnormality in its entirety.Has knowledge of cross-sectional as well as sagittal anatomy and is familiar with normal and
