Mechanical Tech II - STEN - (Kiln, MS)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Supports the Aircraft Mechanical Tech Level III for the installation and test of mechanical structural modifications to, and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and structural components for, complex systems on military, commercial aircraft, and other assets as may be applicable. DUTIES Performs intermediate modification and installation of various equipment by modification of aircraft primary and secondary structures Perform modifications and installations of equipment requiring modification of aircraft composite structures Read, interpret, and supports development of mechanical fabrication and installation drawings Work from engineering drawings Operate independently with minimal supervision Perform as a modification team lead Understand and use complex hand tools and machine shop equipment Machine and sheet metal use Perform in progress inspections for assemblies and installations Work as a modification team player
