Description The Bridges of Appleton , a skilled nursing facility located in Appleton, Wisconsin, is seeking an Activities Aide to assist Health Care Professionals in providing treatment to residents to improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This position is part time and must be available every other weekend. Activities Aides implement sports, music hobbies, crafts, dance or other activities based on resident’s capabilities and desires. Generally activities are enjoyable and are modified versions improving some aspect of the resident’s physical or mental wellbeing. Most involve physical effort of some kind, but some may be geared more toward memory or cognition or mental healing. Duties Speaks with residents and their family or support network and identifies interests. Assists in the planning and engagement of those activities and helping the resident with those activities requiring assistance.
