Laundry Attendant | Day Shift | Part-Time - (Cherokee, NC)

JOB SUMMARY: Inventory and sort laundry items. Inspect linen for quality. Wash, fold, iron and load linens to carts to prescribed levels. Assigned to chute room duties as needed. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items * Remove all foreign material from linen * Dispose of foreign material in accordance with established procedures * Sort soiled laundry based on type and degree of stain * Inspect all linen for quality * Check for wrinkles and stains * Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs * Complete all necessary paper work in a timely manner * Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times * Adhere to regulator, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner MIN REQUIREMENTS * High-school diploma or GED preferred * 1yr previous commercial laundry background desired * Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
