Engineering Technician Senior Materials (Richmond District) - (Colonial Heights, VA)

The Richmond District is seeking a detail oriented individual to monitor the field testing and sampling of asphalt concrete materials used on VDOT construction, maintenance, and local assistance projects. You will ensure the materials meet quality assurance standards and specifications; observe Independent Assurance (IA) on producer field testing technicians; and obtain verification sampling and testing ( VST ) asphalt field cores/plugs to ensure compliance and acceptability with FHWA guidelines. You will compute, analyze, document, and maintain test results; compare with specifications and advise of substandard performance results.
