Produce items from various types of metal and non-metal materials to blue print, sketches and work instructions. May layout own work, setting up, adjusting and operating some, but not all of the following machines: shear, drill press, punch presses, bevel grinders, skiver, Hatchett grinder, etc. Responsible for producing product within specification and applicable procedures/work instructions, drawings and quality documents. Perform basic machine maintenance. Perform some, but not all processing operations in the fabrication of a variety of doctor blades: cut stock to length, flatten, straighten, punch, blank, perforate, tap and rip to width, rout contours to shape blade and assemble. Use measuring tools etc. ?
