Art Director - Freelance, Part-time - (California City, CA)

Are you an ambitious and creative Art Director with monthly publication background? We are completely redesigning our 85-year-old publication, with a circulation base of 190,000, and we are looking for an AD to conceptualize a contemporary new publication. The right applicant will continue to design subsequent issues of the publication, for a total of 8 per year. Working closely with our editor, the AD will create and oversee the overall look of the magazine in order to produce fresh, vibrant and smart issues. We need someone with a modern design aesthetic, a unique understanding of typography, and ability in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Assignments include designing, creating infographics, charts, choosing pictures and assigning illustrations.
