About This Position In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Security Officer performs a variety of duties relating to the security of the Medical Center buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and to assure the personal safety of employees, patients and visitors. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key activity satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or expertise required. Expertise to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Expertise to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Expertise to effectively present info to top management, public groups, and/or hospital committees. Expertise to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
