Job DescriptionDescription: Legal AssistantLegal Assistant Job Purpose: Enhances office efficiency by providing management support; representing the attorney to clients and others.Legal Assistant Position assignments:--- Welcomes guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answers or directs inquiries.--- Produces info by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.--- Opens, maintains, and organizes client files.--- Maintains attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences and teleconferences.--- Serves as a witness in the execution of estate planning documents.--- Represents attorney by communicating and obtaining details; follows up on delegated assignments; knows when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.--- Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney details confidential.--- Provides historical reference of files and documents by developing and utilizing filing systems.--- Maintains office
