Production Supervisor - Machine Shop Position summary: Watteredge, a Southwire Company, is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor responsible for ensuring machining operations meets SQDCI (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory) deliverables. Manages daily operations to include giving work assignments, troubleshooting production problems, reinforces safety, drives process improvement and 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Demonstrates proficient machining, troubleshooting, and communication. Identifies and corrects machining problems relative to tools and tool holders, collets and chucks. Utilizes ADP to track and record time for payroll purposes.. This individual should have a general awareness of the overall business and be able to recognize the need for and escalate process improvements to standard work that reduces cost and improves quality and on-time delivery. Will interact with cross-functional teams, coach and mentor CNC machinists/operators, and general assemblers.
