Fiber Optics Research and Development Bluemont Technology and Research Inc. is searching for a Lead Research and Development Scientist with a strong experience in Fiber Optics Communications for a role supporting a Government Contract. The position will be located in Maryland. Relocation is a possibility for the â??rightâ? applicant. This could be a â??career definingâ? opportunity for the right applicant! The project focuses on fiber for missile systems and/or fiber tethers for undersea applications. Position responsibilities: five to 10+ years of experience in applied research and development (preferably related undersea systems and associated systems integration) Familiarity with fiber-optic communications systems and related technology components five to 10+ years in a Lead Program Management Role (Preferably with PMP certification) Direct experience as Lead Systems Engineer with a sound understanding of systems engineering fundamentals.
