Quality Engineer - (Elkhart, IN)

A global manufacturer and supplier to the aerospace, ceramics and appliance industries is looking to hire a Quality Engineer for their plant near Elkhart, IN. This is a highly visible position and the right person will lead the QA and QC for 1 of their most profitable product lines. This is an AS9100 and ISO9001 registered site. The Quality Engineer will lead a small team of Technicians and Inspectors in supplier quality, audits, inspections, writing SOPs, reporting data to customers, corrective actions, coordinating external auditor visits and generally supporting Production. This position will report to the General Manager. A 4-year degree from an accredited university is required, along with at least 2 yrs of quality engineering background in the aerospace industry. Engineering and other technical degrees are preferred. Knowledge and background with AS9100, ISO9001, auditing, supplier quality, SPC, corrective actions and production support is required. A stable work history is required.
