DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON) PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION: The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations within the individuals scope of practice, as applicable, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below is an outline of the duties and responsibilities that you will be required to perform. As the DIRECTOR OF NURSING, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, & accountability to carry out your assigned duties.
