Surgical Services Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner The perfect career opportunity for a Surgical Services Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner awaits in a rewarding acute care hospital. This acute care hospital offers the surrounding community members a full array of services including a wide range of surgical care specialties. This hospital is currently looking to add a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner who will provide patient care treatments and interventions in the Operating Room as well as on the general surgery floor. The Physician Assistant will perform daily post-operative rounds and follow-up with the appropriate surgeon. The PA or NP will also assist with taking appropriate history, records and presenting data, assists in the performance of lab and screening procedures, recognizes and evaluates situations relative to appropriate treatments to be administered, and instructs and counsels patients admitted to there department.
