Director HIM Medical Records - (Gilroy, CA)

One of the leading Medical Center's on the California Central Coast in seeking Director Health Details Management! The Medical Records Director will join a 100+-Bed facility that offers compressive and specialty services to the people in their community. The HIM Director will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and have complete oversight of the EMR Electronic Medical Records Department. The HIM Health Info Management Director will be responsible for reviewing Medical Records for appropriate coding and ensuring state and federal compliance. The Health Info Management EMR Director will work with physicians to educate them on proper coding and quality standards to achieve appropriate hospital reimbursement. The Medical Records Director will perform audits to ensure coding is meeting standards and reimbursement is accurate. It is essential the EMR Director is able to develop strong relationships with the physicians and provide great communication to physicians and HIM staff.
