District Engineer - (Palmer, AK)

District Engineer PURPOSEThis position is responsible for supervising the District Engineering section, which provides the engineering required to extend, improve, and maintain the Association's electric distribution system. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION1. Supervises the daily activities of the Big Lake, Eagle River, and Palmer district Engineering Technicians and Coordinators including: planning and assigning work, determining techniques to be used, and monitoring equipment needs.2. Reviews and approves work order designs produced by Engineering Technicians and engineering consultants.3. Supervises the inspection program of the District Engineering section.4. Manages the development and work of assigned engineering personnel and communicates Association management policies, tariff, directives and goals to employees. Evaluates, encourages, and coaches directly reporting employees.
