Department of Special Collections Student Assistant Position overview – ADP Editorial Assistant The American Discography Project (ADP) is a project in the UCSB Library’s Department of Special Collections that maintains an on-line discography of historical commercial sound recordings called the Discography of American Historical Recordings (DAHR). Editorial assistants enter and edit data and info about early sound recordings in accordance with established procedures and rules. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the development and maintenance of the DAHR database. Research, analyze, and transcribe details from primary and secondary sources. Enter info accurately, with close attention to detail. Communicate with supervisor(s) about problems or issues in the database. Receive ongoing training and demonstrate skills improvement. Keep a regular work schedule, and communicate with supervisor(s) in a timely manner when changes are necessary.
