Production Supervisor - (Benton Harbor, MI)

A global manufacturing company is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for their plant near St. Joseph, MI. The Production Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager and will lead all production and production support activities for this ceramic part manufacturing plant. He or she will have 10-12 direct reports (Operators and Technicians). A 4-year degree from an accredited university is preferred, but not required. At least 3 yrs of background as a Production Supervisor in a ceramic manufacturing facility is required. The Production Supervisor must be able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization. In addition to Production background, exposure to OSHA, Lean Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling and Shipping is needed. Knowledge of basic ceramic processing (pressing, slip casting, etc) and tooling is required. This company has a preference for high-energy applicants with strong leadership skills, who have a proven history of getting things done.
