On Call Substitute Assistant Teacher - (New Haven, CT)

Catholic Charities Early Childhood Programs in New Haven, CT is seeking an On Call Substitute Assistant Teacher POSITION OVERVIEW The assistant teacher is responsible for promoting physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of the children in his/her classroom. Toward this end, the assistant teacher will be supervised by the center director and/or the assistant director. Duties shall include, but are not necessarily limited to, provide supervision, guidance and support to the children in the classroom, work with classroom teacher on lesson planning and activity implementation consistent with the centers core curriculum, interface with parents, participate in parent-teacher conferences, maintain an orderly classroom and attend continuing-ed workshops and conferences as required by licensing regulations or funding sources.
