Functional HR Manager - (Danville, VA)

Position overview: Administers policies relating to 1 or more functions of human resources by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ? Ensures site policies and procedures are in compliance with legal qualifications and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. ? Reviews eligibility of prospective employees referred by Recruiting department to fill certain vacant positions. May recruit, interview and test prospective employees in lieu of the Recruiting department. ? Plans and conducts new employee orientation. ? Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
