Servo Technician - (Albuquerque, NM)

SUMMARY: Will repair and maintain VLA and VLBA servo, encoder, focus/rotation, and fire alarm systems mounted on 25-meter radio telescopes. Will perform a variety of tests, maintenance, assembly, operation and data collection under min supervision. The technician will perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all equipment for which the Servo Group is responsible, including troubleshooting analog and digital electronics circuits to the component level. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned as required. Some work is required at heights up to 100 ft and travel is expected.
