Implements and enforces the State and Federally-approved BOW programs in addition to other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Affairs. Provides overall leadership and management of BOW, to include overview of program efforts involving permitting, compliance, inspections, enforcement, planning and outreach activities designed to improve and enhance environmental quality. Establishes program goals, priorities and resource needs necessary to carry out the mission of BOW and the Environmental Affairs deputy area in alignment with SCDHEC's mission and values. Identifies the need for and develops policies and procedures, ensuring coordination with other Environmental Affairs' Bureaus to promote multi-media interaction.
