Public Lands Outreach Coordinator - (Charleston, WV)

Job Posting: Public Lands Outreach Coordinator West Virginia Rivers Coalition (WV Rivers), a statewide nonprofit organization advocating since 1989 for the conservation and restoration of WV's exceptional rivers and streams, seeks an outreach coordinator to build support for public lands and raise awareness of both national and local threats. The position will support the work of West Virginians for Public Lands — a vibrant coalition of conservation groups, businesses, and citizens working collaboratively to defend our shared public lands. The Campaign Public lands in West Virginia and across the nation are under threat. There are proposals in Congress to weaken protections for public lands, open recreation lands to resource extraction, even proposals to sell off national forests and other lands. 1 bill, co-sponsored by Senator Shelley Moore Capito, seeks to take away Presidential and Congressional authority to designate national monuments.
