Exhibits Techician - (Pasadena, CA)

Position overview : The Exhibits Technician position is a full time, non-exempt position. Your key responsibilities will be to be completely responsible for the maintenance, fabrication, and installation of museum exhibits. The primary focus of the position is on the general upkeep of the exhibits, ensuring they are safe and functional. On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to walk the facility to perform daily maintenance checks on each exhibit, recording needed repairs, and then performing them. The museum utilizes a web-based facilities management system to track repairs, planned maintenance, and work orders. You will also assist with museum opening duties and responding to maintenance calls on the walkies. You will also utilize skill and ability to find creative solutions to exhibit issues as well as fabrication of new exhibits and programing elements. To achieve this, you will be reporting to and working with the Assistant Director of Exhibits.
