Manufacturing Engineer - ferrous machining - (Auburn, AL)

Major established and international brand name company has an opportunity at a large high volume plant in east central AL for a Manufacturing Engineer to be involved with monitoring product design and manufacturing processes with the goal of reducing and controlling costs. With minimal supervision will plan, conduct and assign lower-level personnel for given tasks and projects. A variety of engineering assignments will be performed to develop and implement processing / production methods and controls to meet quality standards in a cost efficient manner. Liaison support between the engineering department and manufacturing will be provided. Will also make recommendations and implement improvements and / or modifications for equipment utilization, sequence of operations and matters that are related. Monitoring of assigned operations to assure compliance with approved quality standards and current project schedules will also be a part of the responsibilities.
