TITLE: DEVELOPMENT OFFICER DEPARTMENT: Advancement REPORTS TO: Deputy Executive Director SUPERVISES: N/A FLSA STATUS: Exempt ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: March 7, 2017 CLOSE DATE: March 22, 2017 PREFERRED START DATE: Immediately JOB OVERVIEW: The Development Officer will work with Riverkeeper?s executive team and board of directors? Advancement Committee to conceptualize, orchestrate and execute marketing and fundraising campaigns that contribute to consistent financial growth and visibility for Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper?s mission to protect water quality and connect people to their waterways. The Development Officer is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of development activities with a primary focus on cultivating relationships and understanding donors? and sponsors? objectives and their capacity to give. Individual must be able to work collaboratively with a board of directors, Advancement Committee members, volunteer ambassadors and staff.
