Lead Back End API Engineer - (New York, NY)

Are you an engineer whos an advocate for APIs? Are you interested in working for a company that is constantly pushing boundaries and working with the latest and best technologies? Have you successfully led a team in developing APIs? If so, read on! Whats the job? We are looking for a Lead Engineer to head our small API development team. All of our projects are very reactive. We are interested in understanding which technologies work best for our pilot programs. Although our backend is run primarily on RoR, we are flexible in utilizing the newest and best technologies. Our goal is to figure out what works. Our back end, built on RoR brings all our APIs to life. Our platform integrates with our partner companys custom API managing the communication between the different sites and our platform. We also have a secondary platform that integrates with Fortune 500 companies including insurance and credit card companies to engage customers in new products related to their move.
