Sports/ Multimedia Journalist - (Rock Hill, SC)

DESCRIPTION Responsible for being a versatile team member who works with all segments of the newsroom to generate story ideas, shoot, write, edit, and report factual and compelling tv stories, both news and sports.Organize and pitch Tri-County sports coverage. Sports anchoring on occasion.Builds contacts in the community. Public image is a major portion of the job, as is a positive and pleasant attitude.Reports toCN2 News Director. DUTIES Research stories, set up interviews and schedule daily activities. Must have sound news judgment and the expertise to generate multiple story ideas and turn them the same day. As a team play, must be willing to work a flexible schedule for news and sporting events. This includes evenings and weekend shoots. Must be able to shoot, write and edit with speed, efficiency and creativity. Coordinate with Producer to make sure stories are put together in an interesting and informative manner, within time constraints.
