Front Office Receptionist- FT Days - Provider Network - (Tomball, TX)
At the direction ofthe Office Manager (OM), the medical office assistant schedules patientappointments, gathers patient details for registration, payment planning,insurance verification, collaborates with clinical support and/or at thedirection of the physician(s) schedules referrals for diagnostics,consultations, and surgeries. Other duties include maintenance anddistribution of medical records, collection of appropriate patient payment(s),answering the phone and greeting patients quickly and in a courteous andprofessional manner, maintain an accurate daily balance, and safeguards patientprivacy in accordance with organizational policy. The employee performsadditional tasks/activities as assigned. The employee may be required toflex/change schedule and work overtime at the discretion of the OM. Education: Highschool graduate or GED required. Successfulcompletion of a formal training program in medical assisting preferred.
