Manufacturing Engineer The Manufacturing Engineer I position directs a wide variety of manufacturing engineering activities to develop and improve standards for industrial processes, materials and products to assure all customer qualifications are met in a cost efficient manner by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Using current design standards and processes, develops component part drawings from form, fit and function assembly drawings. Applies knowledge of composition and machinability of ferrous and non-ferrous materials with knowledge of machines, tooling and capabilities to develop standardized processes Modify customer prints to enable use on the shop floor (eg Metric to imperial units, removing non-required views/sections, etc.) Performs cost estimating functions as needed on new or pending orders.
