Assistant Branch Manager I - (Lansing, MI)
SUMMARY Ensures efficient operation of the branch and effective supervision, when necessary, of Customer Service Representatives and receptionist where applicable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervises staff, when necessary, and assists in career development and training; reviews JPS's with staff quarterly; coaches and monitor staffs use of the Mercantile Customer Management System (360). Opens new accounts and cross sells products and services. Completes daily overdraft decisions within individual authority. Serves as a back-up in the Customer Service Representative I, II and III positions. Processes transactions and resolves customer inquiries, account questions or problems. Audits Customer Service Representatives' cash; performs monthly branch audits and bi-annual Safety Deposit box audits (if applicable). Serves as a back-up for balancing the ATM and main vault; coordinates the buy/sell cash handling for the branch.
