Service Technician - (Windsor, CT)

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Field Service Technician will maintain, repair, certify and install Fischer x-ray fluorescence (XRF) equipment, hardness (nanoindentation) and Fischers line of magnetic test methods. This position will be based in Windsor, CT and primarily support Fischers customers in the US. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect, evaluate and troubleshoot Fischer instruments during commissioning and repair. Interface with directly with customers to provide telephone, email and face-to-face product support Perform tasks associated with the testing and repair of x-ray equipment Alert supervisor to any irregularities that could affect the quality, safety, or performance of the instrument Travel, approximately. 40-50% by car and air, to customer locations both in and out of the continental US for installation and repair as needed. Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager.
