J OB TITLE: Local Dock Utility Pre-Trainee REPORTS TO: Regional Service Center Manager OVERVIEW OF ROLE: To ensure the customer is always serviced 1st by providing efficient and safe, claim-free pickup, delivery service, and handling of freight. Develop and maintain good customer relations to grow our business. To exemplify Ward's Pallet Ability when loading, unloading, sorting and handling freight by hand and/or using material handling equipment such as forklifts, carts, etc. Properly load/unload freight and correctly complete all required paperwork. Please note this is a pre-trainee position as the candidate may not have all of the driving background required to meet company driving guidelines. Selected candidate would be required to become driver qualified in accordance with company training process based upon work flow / business needs at a future date.
