Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine - (Mishawaka, IN)

1. Actively demonstrates the organization's mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values. 2. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, medical info. Complies with regulatory agency (NATA, JCAHO, Health Professionals Bureau, etc.) standards and regulations. 3. Clinical Treatment: a. Coordinates training room activities during treatment periods. b. Administers treatments to injured or ill athletes in consultation with the team physician. c. Responsible for the rehabilitation program and supervises the training program for the injured athlete for the purpose of returning to athletic competition. d. Determines in consultation with the team physician, if an athlete is physically able to return to competition. e. Recognizes and manages minor injuries or illnesses during athletic practices and competition by administering 1st-aid treatments as required by the situation.
