Crew Leaders: Water & Sewer Maintenance - (Durham, NC)

The Water & Sewer Maintenance Division has 2 crew leader vacancies housed within the Collection and Distribution System respectively.Must be reachable by phone and subject to week-long stand-by/recall for emergency response. You must be competent using software and tablets for record-keeping and communications with all levels of staff. We rely on employees with professional communication and issue solving abilities to collaborate together with all staff and when dealing with Durham citizens. These roles apply technical judgment working in partnership with their Crew Chief requiring a high degree of people skills with the expertise to make mature judgment calls; exercising professional and safe behavior at all times. Qualifications for both: HS diploma or equivalent A or B-valid drivers license; A-valid drivers license within 90 days of hire Min 3 yr's utility systems expr preferably in water or wastewater Min 1 yr of supervisory experience in a field position leading a crew
