Payroll Functional Lead - Full-time - (Portland, OR)

Position summary Under general direction, the Payroll Services Department Technology Functional Lead is the liaison between other PPS Departments or Outside Agencies on technology matters and provides direct support for the District's such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Peoplesoft), and other systems that are used in the Payroll Process. This position provides guidance to PPS management on the most efficient and effective use and capabilities of the PeopleSoft software, takes the lead in testing tax and system or software modifications, provides analytical abilities and troubleshooting to users who are accessing the system, which includes the Time & Labor reporting module and is involved with the processing of the full weekly and monthly payroll through to the JE creation process. The Payroll Services Department Technology Functional Lead creates and maintains process documentation of Payroll procedures, as needed and has involvement with auditing and reconciliation of Payroll info.
