Infrastructure Engineer - (Mason City, IA)

Position purpose Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and operation of network infrastructure. Network assignments include implementing and configuring new core/aggregation/access switches, routers and cable management systems, providing technical work direction to contractors and Technician - Infrastructure, and troubleshooting network issues and escalating to vendors' technical support as required. Network responsibilities also include the operation of IP address management systems and network authentication systems. MIN REQUIREMENTS Associates degree preferred and a min of 3 (3) years of directly related skills with network infrastructure equipment and procedures or equivalent combination of education and background. Considerable knowledge of network infrastructure desired. General knowledge of telephony systems would be a big plus, but not necessary. Background with Cisco network gear highly desirable.
