Incredible position available in stable organization as a Quality Assurance Technician!!! The Quality Assurance Technician maintains inspection and quality control for all fresh produce commodities. The QAT provides communication support, technical assistance, and problem-solving expertise to a complex assortment of situations. QAT will be responsible for assuring and generating detailed reports of quality and packed finished product, prepare and select sample products for customer, assist with customer and USDA inspectors amongst other responsibilities. Perfect candidate must be able to lift a min of 50 lbs repetitively, must be detail-oriented, well-organized and be proficient with computer software. A degree in food science or related major is a HUGE PLUS! Min of 2yrs background in QC/Quality Assurance of food products required (preferably fresh fruit).
