Quality Assurance Technician - (Tracy, CA)

Responsible for sampling and testing raw meat, conducting inspections of food processing plant, and ensuring compliance with USDA and Company Qualifications. Description of Position • Take on the responsibilities and goals of the QA department. • Conduct inspections of product, processing equipment and facility. • Sample product for testing purposes. • Test samples for quality and microbiological characteristics, to include plating, reading plates, recording plate counts, and pathogen testing using PCR technology. • Document results with complete and accurate info for all duties completed. • Communicate with personnel from all departments including management and inspection agency personnel. • Other duties as assigned. Tasks and Responsibilities • Education/Training: Degree in Food Science / Microbiology or related position preferred. • Licenses/Certifications: JHA (within 30 days) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification (within three months).
