Corporate Accounting/Real Estate Intern - (Norwalk, CT)

Position description: To assist the Corporate Accounting Department in a wide variety of general accounting and finance areas including corporate accounting, consolidating the accounting and financial reporting at the hotel property level with the ownership level while focusing on learning about the accounting and finance functions of the hospitality industry. Job Functions: Assist with general administrative accounting tasks. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, inter-company activity, daily banking (monitoring cash activity and preparing deposits) and accounting tasks for the partnership owners. Assist with all aspects of month-end reporting to provide consolidated financial statements to the owners and lenders for multiple partnerships. Assist with monthly ownership journal entries. Assist with reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts monthly. Monitor and reconcile all escrow and reserve accounts. Assist with fixed assets
