MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Facilities Management) Polk County Government BoCC* *** This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement*** Must have the physical, developmental and mental expertise to perform job tasks, work efforts, responsibilities and duties of the job illustrated below: MAJOR FUNCTION: Under direction, operates and maintains building automation systems and performs general and preventive maintenance and repairs in the skilled and semi-skilled trades, i.e., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, electrical, mechanical and a-c systems and equipment. ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES: Programs, operates and maintains building climate systems to provide environmental comfort while ensuring cost and energy efficiency. Performs general/preventive maintenance, service and repairs, in a multi-trade environment, on facilities, buildings and automated systems, i.e., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, electrical, mechanical and a/c systems and equipment.
