Purchasing Job overview: Small manufacturing company in Shelby / Oceana County is seeking an experienced Purchasing professional to join their team. This is a new position within the company and will be providing purchasing support to the President. Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm. Hours may vary. Responsibilities: *Purchasing the quality equipment, goods and services at competitive prices *Negotiation of terms, networking and dealing with vendors and costs *Save company money and increase profits *Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers *Forecast levels of demand for products or services *Keep a constant check on stock levels *Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best valve, delivery schedules and quality *Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers *Negotiate blanket orders and monitoring the quality of service provided *Follow and communicate return material process
