Planning and Production Engineer Specialist - (Macon, GA)

To provide the primary interface between Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing in regards to production scheduling and capacities. Drive key business processes like monthly forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management. This position is essential for developing and promoting sound planning and inventories capabilities to support company growth targets. Further proliferation of decision-support technologies and MRP II principles are major reasons for this position. Produce a monthly Production Plan from sales forecasts and customer trends. - Communicate mix issues with Plant Management Team and Sales. - Support the use of Oracle Technology - Ensure the production schedule meets Sales Plan and safety stock levels. - Assist Prod Mgr to identify process inefficiencies. - Achieve and maintain Production Reporting accuracy of 90%. Develop a Master Schedule for the Macon plant based on the Sales Plan. - Balance available capacity with needs of competing markets.
