Department: Laboratory A Life-Changing Career Job overview: Temporary position anticipated to end on 10/31/2017 Responsibilities: Procures the appropriate specimen in a safe, accurate, and professional manner with the proper technique. Oversees referred testing, including laboratory tests, Department of Transportation specimens, and pathology, cytology, and microbiology specimens. Perform waived tests, plating microbiology specimens, and/or assisting in cytology and histology following established procedures in an accurate and timely manner to ensure accurate results to facilitate diagnosis and treatment. Perform Clerical duties to assist laboratory technical staff and support efficient operations. Accurately perform quality control procedures in a timely manner to assure accuracy and reliability of test results. Performs department maintenance in a timely manner to ensure efficient operation of the department. Perform additional job requirements as assigned.
