Area Director Risk Management - (Fairfield, CA)

A 300 bed Northern California acute care facility is seeking an Area Manager, Risk Management and Performance Improvement to join it's team. The Area Director RN, will work in collaboration with Director on risk identification systems, risk control, risk investigation and risk transfer. The Vice President Nurse leader will work collaboratively with senior leadership, physicians and staff to reduce medical errors, improve patient safety and stay current on all federal and state regulations for health-care risk management. The Nurse Director will be supported by a team of seasoned risk managers in the department. The RN Director will manage claim activities with 3rd party administrators, analyze trends related to outcomes, improvement plans and reporting. The Area Director will also participate in appropriate committees, exercises independent judgment and takes actions as needed based on knowledge of the organization, its policies, procedures, and personnel.
