Drainage Engineer - (Santa Fe, NM)
Job DescriptionAs a professionally licensed engineer (P.E.), you will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare preliminary and final drainage reports, and design and develop construction plans for projects statewide. You will collaborate with a dedicated and talented multi-discipline highway design team to complete projects on schedule. If needed, engineering consultants may be added to the team , and you will be responsible for managing and reviewing their work. Although you will operate independently, you will have a mentor dedicated to providing guidance and giving feedback to make sure you succeed.Typical drainage engineering projects include highway bridges, culverts, storm drain systems, erosion control and water quality control structures. In addition, you will provide technical ability for grading and drainage related issues to NMDOT District offices statewide, as well as for county and local governments' subdivision reviews, and ROW access permits.
