Position overview - Staff Auditor I (619) . Staff Auditor I - 619 Description Position details: Responsible for ensuring the Credit Unions controls and policies are adequate, functional and in compliance with regulatory qualifications through guidance from the VP Audit Services as dictated by the annual audit plan and the Credit Unions strategic plan. Ensures the credit unions best practices have been adhered to and identifies operations that are ineffective, making recommendations for improvements. Required functions and Responsibilities: Prepares for audits, researches regulations, understands policies and procedures, formulates an audit program, based on risk, and uses it as foundation to perform fieldwork. Prepares accurate and suitable testing procedures, collects and archives supporting audit work papers (in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing StandardsGAAS) to substantiate audit findings. Works on fraud monitoring analytics and special projects as assigned by VP Audit Services.
