Role Summary: The Junior Buyer role works under established guidelines with outside suppliers to ensure that all VCI materials and services are effectively and cost-efficiently procured in a manner which meets all VCI and VW Group Global Sourcing process guidelines. Establishes and maintains relationships with Business Units and suppliers to aid in determining the most appropriate and cost efficient solutions based on business needs. Assists as directed in purchasing projects, reporting and tracking, and other areas to promote attainment of VCI Purchasing goals and to support the VCI Purchasing Management. Role Responsibilities: Under direction of the Director of Operations Controlling, provides purchasing support as a Junior Buyer in the following areas: Assist in developing Statements of requirements and bid terms for the competitive bid process according to the VCI Purchasing Policy Be accountable to follow all Global Purchasing process rules and requirements.
