Quality Control : Weld Inspector - (Williamsburg, VA)

Aerotek is currently hiring in the Williamsburg areas! Right now we are looking for 2 skilled weld inspectors either level one or level 2. Applicants must have at least three years' background in the field and these opportunities are contract to hire, long-term positions. Previous shipyard CWI's are highly preferred and must be able to perform the following: Use inspection, measuring and testing equipment Perform a full range of varied inspection tasks including visual and touch point inspection Evaluate completed weld elements for conformance to applicable codes, standards and position qualifications Reject and return unacceptable materials. Document inspection results. Read and follow written and verbal work instructions. Identify and report problems and questions to the responsible supervisor. Approve/reject repairs and finished product prior to shipment. Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace atmosphere by complying with all safety rules.
